m-TOR associated stomatitis in everolimus treatment and significant prophylactic effect of dexamethasone solution in context of Bolero-2 and SWISH trials

Abstract

m-TOR associated stomatitis develops in approximately two thirds of patients treated with everolimus. 0,0% dexamethasone solution applied locally into oral cavity decreases significantly the risk of this complication (27% vs. 67%).
