Abstrakt
The author contends that there is an explicitly religious dynamic in Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. Far from having the intention of subsuming religion under absolute knowledge, Hegel conceives of religion as sharing the same level with absolute knowledge, the absolute knowledge being itself nouris- hed by a decidedly religious dynamic.
The absolute religion conceived of as a radical pardon is a twin of the absolute knowledge understood as a radical reconciliation.
