Abstract
Contemporary therapy of Alzheimer's disease is only symptomatic, not causal (brain cholinesterases inhibitors, memantine). That is why the plenty of pharmacotherapeutical approaches are in clinical investigation.
Main sphere of investigation represents the investigation of the strategies affecting two pathological proteins, associated with Alzheimer's disease - beta-amyloid and Tau-protein. Wide spectrum of drugs with different way of action is tested, but it is difficult to say, which of this drugs is promising.
