Publication at Protestant Theological Faculty |
2014

Abstract

The paper deals with the main features of the liberal-theological thought and tries to show the central position of hermeneutics in this thought. The paper pays attention to the meaning change of the term religion on which the liberal theology bases its work.

The paper presents the post-enlightenment conception of religion, based on religious experience, as well as the relationship between interpretation and experience. The paper shows how the liberal theology treats with dogmas, creeds, institutional form of the church, and especially with the Bible.
