Abstract
The paper analyses three problems Synesius had with Christian techings even as future metropolitan bishop: the pre-existence of soul, the eternity of the world and Resurrection as they are dealt with in the author's Epistle 105. The analysis of the letter is concerned with both philosophical-theologicla thought of the time and with the social context of Synesius.
