Abstract

This article represents a reflexion on the role of the state in the creation and consolidation of the economic thinking in the context of the modernising process and social change in France. It follows the historical evolution of economic policies in order to track down a certain continuity of economic nationalism within the evolution of the national economic model, emphasising the role of the state in the creation and implementation of this doctrine.
