Abstract
If used in the field of Czech humanities nowadays, the term "worldview" generally refers to the doctrine of the "scientific worldview" from the so-called "Normalization" period. Actually, the history of the term "worldview" begins in Kant's Critique of Judgment.
The genuinely fascinating history of the term then continues with specific applications introduced, for example, by Wilhelm von Humboldt, Karl Jaspers, Karl Mannheim and Lucien Goldmann.
