Abstract
The article focuses on satisfaction of victim's claim within criminal proceedings. It analyses relationship between victim's claim to frozen or confiscated instrumentalities and proceeds of crime, related decisions of the court and sentencing.
Financial assistance to victims of crime according to Crime Victim Act is also mentioned. After this, an outline of newly enacted legislation on use of financial means obtained on the basis of financial penalties imposed within criminal proceedings and administered by the Ministry of Justice to satisfy victim's claims is introduced.
In conclusion, the article looks at preparations of the new Criminal Procedure Act.
