The paper focuses on Czechoslovak foreign resistance in Russia in 1914-1918 and the personality of Ivan Markovič as one of the few Slovak representatives of the resistance. The paper follows Markovič's position in the structures of the resistance and the activity he carried out in favor of the Czechoslovak political program.
The paper also focuses on the main problems that have arisen in connection with the participation of the Slovaks in the resistance and on Markovič's activity contributed to solving these problems.
