The paper focuses on the economic aspects of the idea of Czechoslovak reciprocity and the way of its presentation on the pages of magazine Prúdy in the period from the beginning of their publication to the outbreak of the First World War (1909-1914). The paper wants to analyze how the editors of Prúdy reflected the intentions of the Czech financial circles about the penetration into the Slovak environment.
The aim of the paper is to focus on the area of economic cooperation that Prúdy perceived as one of the important aspects of Czechoslovak reciprocity, but also to what extent it appeared to be a prerequisite for future political cooperation.
