Abstrakt
The contribution is dedicated to the technique of fresco painting, the "most manly and lasting" technique of wall painting which widespread in central Europe, especially in Baroque. It focuses on the technique as it had been described in history by the scholars and also painters themselves in the selected papers, mainly from 16 th till 18 th centuries.
It is also based on the personal experience of the contributors with the technique, encountered during the workshop at the Faculty of Restoration of the University of Pardubice (Litomyšl, spring 2017).
