The Education Practices Towards Roma children in Czechoslovakia Between 1918 and 1942

Abstract

In 1926 a so called Gypsy school was established in Uzhhorod, the city in Carpathian Ruthenia. During 1930s this institution, i.e. remedial class for Roma children, became a role model of the Czechoslovak civilizing mission.
