Abstract

The theoretical article presents research project, which aims on reviewing the proportion of psychosocial factors and life events of previous PNES development compared to healthy populations. We assess patients with PNES, during they stay at the Center for Epilepsy, Na Homolce Hospital in Prague.

We focuse on early parental bonding (Parental Bonding Instrument), the proportion of psychosocial factors and life events of previous PNES development (semi-structured interview Checklist of selected life events) and the presence of maladaptation emotional regulation (Affective Style Questionnaire and Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale). The subsequent research intention is to improve the psychological intervention through a psychoeducation manual for clinical psychologists and psychotherapists, care for patients diagnosed with PNES.
