Abstract
The aim of my paper is to analyze the Christmas fairy tale namely the program Goodnight, Children, at Czechoslovak Radio from 1961 till the so called Velvet Revolution in 1989. In my consideration I will answer the question whether the socialist image of Christmas in Czechoslovakia was reflected in Christmas radio bedtime stories.
Christmas programs and fairy tales were given a great deal of attention of KSČ, Christmas should represent holidays that were deprived of a religious dimension. They were presented as a family tradition, whose main symbols were Christmas carp, tree and presents.
