Abstract
The aim of my paper is to analyze the Christmas fairy tale namely the program Goodnight, Children, at Czechoslovak Radio between 1972 and 1977. In my consideration I will answer the question whether the socialist image of Christmas in Czechoslovakia was reflected in Christmas radio bedtime stories.
Christmas programs and fairy tales were given a great deal of attention of KSČ, Christmas should represent holidays that were deprived of a religious dimension. They were presented as a family tradition, whose main symbols were Christmas carp, tree and presents.
