Lecture at a conference "International migration - new challenges for Central and Eastern Europe" in Prague on 12 December 2016. The aim of the paper was to present a short analysis of the media coverage of refugee crisis and international migration in general in the Czech Republic and explore the main metaphors used in the media discourse and their implications for how the migration issue is perceived by the general public.
The analysis was based on a short-term research of the media practice on covering migration realized in the Czech Republic between in course of 2015 and 2016.
