Abstract
In may 2016 EMS of southern bohemia joined the republic system of psychosocial intervention service. The system provides crisis intervention also to the secondary victims.
It is one of eight emergency medical services in Czech Republic, which offers crisis intervention not only to the staff, but also to the public. Most frequently the clients are close to the patients.
The service comes after the emergency medical care. This kind of crisis intervention to the close persons and relatives of the decised, is most frequently indicated in the cases of sudden death, suicides, infant death, car crash accidents, serious injuries and disasters.
