The article presents the archaeological knowledge of the burials of the persons excluded from the common cemetery, especially of executed criminals and those who committed suicide. They were buried in some dishonourable place as near the gallows or in the execution site in the Modern Period.
The article is based on the results of the archaeological excavations of execution sites in Bohemia, Moravia, Lusatia and Silesia (the historical Lands of the Bohemian Crown). These results are compared to the results from other countries of Europe and to the written sources.
