Abstract
Through a selection of artworks from the fields of decorative arts, sculpture, book illumination and architecture, the exhibition surveyed the superior spiritual and art culture of the Benedictine Order in Central Europe in the early Middle Ages. Further emphasis were placed on the history of the Central European states in the early modern era, against the backdrop of the irreplaceable role of the Benedictine Order during that epoch.
