Abstract
Pollen grains are omnipresent. They belong to the life cycles of majority of seed plants, but for various purposes, they are (more than) important for number of other organisms.
Pollen is important component of pollinator's diet and enables (when found e.g. in peat-land sediments) to reconstruct the landscape and floristic changes after the last ice age. The discoveries of pollen grains and their identification come in useful also in criminalist.
This paper presents instruction how to collect pollen, create pollen sections and use them in high-school biological lectures.
