Abstract
The pre-war period of Czech cubism was considered with some reserve as a misunderstanding of the French founders of modern expression. My aim was to find a much more friendly grasp of the early Czech modernity, which builds on the tradition of Czech art and works directly with it, but uses modern language for it.
