Abstract

The textbook of geography for the 9th class emphasizes the importance of working with knowledge and skills acquired in previous years and their use in solving various situations. The authors of individual chapters did not try to give an exhaustive overview of the topic, but rather to select topics and information that highlight current issues, ongoing processes and their impacts on the natural environment and society.

Now the latter environmental aspect, ie the interaction of nature and society, running through the textbook. The textbook is based on a so-called constructivist concept, in simple terms: "think about what you already know about the subject - learn how it is and reflect changes against original knowledge." The textbook also includes a number of tasks and work activities of varying complexity.
