Hispanics: an Integral Part of the United States of America

Abstract

The Hispanic or Latino minority in the U.S. is one of the most important population groups of the country with many unique characteristics. The article briefly introduces this minority in terms of its age-structure, fertility level and most significant social issues - low levels of education and risk of poverty.

The U.S. population is an example of a highly heterogeneous population with all of the accompanying threats as well as opportunities.
