Pre-service kindergarten teacher training and current trends in support of their education

Abstract

Efforts of kindergarten teachers to have higher level of education are emerging throughout the whole 20th century. Since the 1970s to the present, higher education has been realizing continuously at the Faculty of Education of the Charles University.

The systematically conceived form of study is brought closer by a view of the study plan and graduate profile. The function of in-service training and quality verification.

Examples of in-service teacher education (focusing on e.g. children from socially disadvantaged families and other cultures, needs of two-year-old children and children before entering elementary school, community school connected with the life in the community
