Abstract
The article deals with theoretical and practical aspects related to the administration of justice. After defining the theoretical models of judicial administration, the ministerial model operating in the Federal Republic of Germany is discussed in more detail and the negative experience with the functioning of the judicial councils in Slovakia and Hungary is pointed out.
Another part of the paper analyzes individual aspects of the administration of justice in the Czech Republic and draws attention to the shortcomings and pitfalls of the current model.
