Computational methodology for the assessment of air pollution impacts with an integrated assessment model
Abstract
The methodology describes an integrated framework for the assessment of air pollution impacts with respect to the most relevant categories of social impacts, namely elevated health risks in affected populations, degradation of ecosystems and degradation of exposed exterior materials. The methodology entails a detailed description of the calculation procedure for the quantification of individual physical impacts and corresponding economic damages, including a description of required input data and their structure for the given step of calculation procedure, and also a practical application of the methodology - two worked out examples of assessment of air pollution reduction measures.
