The occurrence of the brook lamprey (Lampetra planeri, Petromyzontiformes, Cephalaspidomorphi) in the Strašický potok brook (Blaník Protected Landscape Area, Central Bohemia, catchment area of the Sázava River, Elbe sea basin) is known over 15 years. The paper summarizes long term observations of the water quality together with details about the microphytobenthos, macrozoobenthos, chlorophyll α and the ichthyofauna.
The brook lamprey population in the Strašický potok brook can be classified as medium sized in comparison with further populations in the Czech Republic.
