Large multicenter (twelve centers) international randomized trial (n=1926) compared incidence of radial artery occlusion (RAO) after transradial coronary angiography and intervention with the use of standard 5F sheath and new slender 6F sheath. In standard 5F sheath group incidence of RAO was 1,74% and in new slender 6F sheath 3,47% (p non inferiority =0,150).
Total incidence of RAO in this trial was 2,6% which is one of the lowest from all publicated RCT. Our center which randomized 260 patients had only two RAO (0,8%) and was the third biggest center in this trial.
