Abstract
Connection between practical life and educational topics such as use of well known goods (sweets, drinks etc.) leads to increased interest of pupils for chemistry. Topic of discussion in the last few years is the food offered to pupils in the schools.
Ban of sweet drinks and sweets altogether was already enforced by former Minister of Education Marcel Chládek. Our contribution shows experiments with coke-like drinks focussed on sweeteners and acidity additives used for taste tuning by the producers.
We are also going to show other experiments connected to this topic such as experiments with synthetized sweeteners.
