Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present the results of the survey among the academic staff of the Faculty of Science of Charles University. The survey was focused on current topics and trends in chemistry and biology.
The form of survey was interviews. It gives us questions about trends in biological and chemical research, it also shows the point of view of university teachers on topics that should be taught in Chemistry and Biology at secondary schools and which are not.
There are also discused resources from which secondary school teachers can acquire current knowledges from natural sciences. The informations obtained through this survey are currently used in questionnaire survey among secondary school teachers.
