Abstract

Book Anchoring vignette method and its use in educational research represents a first complex introducation about anchoring vignettes not only in Czech educational literature. The anchoring vignette method helps to anchor answers to self-assessment questions so that they are comparable.

The anchoring vignette method helps to eliminate one of the common weaknesses of quantitative research, i.e. weak validity of concepts measured using rating scales. The book could be used by both beginning and advanced researcher working in educational and other social science research.
