Abstract

The chapter provides an introductory discussion of key developments in constitutionalism, constitutional politics, and reform from a political sociological perspective. It offers an original and innovative discussion of 'constitutional acceleration', participatory constitutionalism, and 'constitutional mindsets' as significant dimensions of constitutional change and provides a detailed and comprehensive scheme of forms of constitutional reform.
