Radiation transfer models - description

Abstract

This chapter introduces the radiative tranfer models used for forward modelling of vegetation optical properties (reflectance and transmittance) or inverse modelling of vegetation biochemical and biophysical properties. The basic characteristics of models at leaf level (PROSPECT, LIBERTY) and at crown/canopy level (FRT, INFORM, FLIGHT) are presented.

These above mentioned models (except FRT) can be used in MATLAB package ARTMO.
