Abstract
Following a brief introduction on comedy itself, the article investigates the forms of literary comedy in contemporary Argentinian literature, with reference to the theory of comedy proposed by Macedonio Fernández. The article offers an overview of the published works that fall into this area as well as a more in depth analysis of its most outstanding proponents.
