Abstract
In 2006-2014, the Faculty of Arts of Charles University was the subject of research that focused on the faculty's history during the normalisation era. The research was carried out by a team of students whose members now, more than ten years after the start of the project, returned to reassess their original motivations, to evaluate the course of the study and the nature of the sources that had been used, to present the achieved results, and to summarise their main observations and conclusions.
Their focus is on controversial subjects and dilemmas that confronted them during the course of the research (ethical issues, pressure exerted by contemporary discourse, anonymization).
