Alternatives in processes of education in the Czech Republic - history and current situation

Abstract

This contribution presents the development of alternative schools in the Czech Republic since the beginning of the 20th century. After the presentation of main actors of reform movement of schools after 1918, authors concentrate on pedagogical alternative directions and innovative programs which have been developing since 1989.

They show under what conditions certain principles of these schools may have the influence on mainstream schools.
