Abstract

The paper deals with the analysis of the possibility that the shape of a hair cut is not only genetically given, as it is usually cited, but can also change during the life of the individual. One of the major changes in women's lives is pregnancy.

Therefore, a series of experiments has been carried out to find out whether the shape of the female hair changes during pregnancy. From the neck of women who gave birth to the previous year, longer hair was removed, some of them still remembering the period before pregnancy.

Cuts with these hair give us a chance to come back in time to find out what shape their hair had before, during and after pregnancy. The control group consisted of women who had not yet matured, but of similar age, hair type, and BMI.

This has eliminated any seasonal effects on the hair shape.
