How was the official and unofficial musical life of the students of the Prague university in the oldest times? A set of non-musical sources from the Collegium Beatae Virginis enables to look deep in the college liturgy. Founding documents, statutes, library catalogues with custodes form a framework whose musical content can be easily reconstructed, based on contemporary manuscripts from late Medieval schools.
Documents from the Collegium, on the other hand, can help to situate certain musical traditions to late Medieval colleges and other school institutions.
