Abstract

Recurrent aphthous stomatitis is one of the most common diseases of oral mucosa. The frequency is 10-25% of population.

The ulcers have different shape. Clinical variants of recurrent aphthous stomatitis are minor, major and herpetiform.

The ethiology is not clear, it can be local trauma, galvanisation, reaction to medications and nutritional factors, aphtae can be associated with other immunopathologic states. The therapy is based on local anti-inflammatory treatment.

We present a case-study of a woman patient with recurrent aphthous stomatitis and deficiency of immunoglobulin subclass IgG1.
