Safety assessment of food additives in top-selling dietary supplements in the Czech Republic

Abstract

Half of the most commonly used DS contained additives known to have adverse health effects. Such effects may potentially occur in predisposed patients and vulnerable groups of the population such as children or chronically ill patients, especially in the case of intake of multiple products containing the same additive.
