Abstract

Children with PAS should, as well as children of the common population, be swimming literate - thus they should safely manage the aquatic environment. Children's swimming lessons with PAS are based on preparatory and basic swimming lessons but show considerable specificities in terms of teacher-pupil interaction, conditions, applied methods.

At present, there is an increasing number of children who are integrated into mainstream education and leisure activities. The aim of this paper is to present one of the programs used for education of children with autistic spectrum disorder and its application to the conditions of swimming of these children.

These are structured learning methods. The paper explores 4 years of practice with organization of motion programs in water for children with PAS.
