Diabetes, hepatopathy, and obesity - which approach should be chosen?

Abstract

The case report describes the use of concentrated insulin glargine in the treatment of an obese female patient with diabetes mellitus and hepatopathy. We have quite wideranging therapeutic options from different anti-diabetic agents in obese patients, but these are significantly reduced in patients with hepatopathy.

The most common cause of a chronic hepatopathy is the alcohol abuse in our environment.
