Introduction: Maximum running speed is the target in many sports. The goal of this review is presentation of new insights from the field of the biomechanics of sprint.
Methods: Three sets of key words were used: (1 - biomechanics, sprint, running, ground reaction force; 2 - biomechanics, sprint, running, kinematics; 3 - kinematics, velocity, sprint, sprinters). Webofknowledge and Scopus were searched scientific databases. 168 records were found.
These records underwent processes of: "shallow reading"; complex reading and evaluation. Result: Sixteen titles contained new insights from biomechanics of sprint.
The most articles are focused on the support phase.
