Abstract

The monograph is one of the first academic attempts to address the massacres of Christians in the Ottoman Empire, which were perpetrated in 1914-1923. The book views the issue not only as the national tragedy of the Armenians but more comprehensively as an attempt to exterminate all local Christians, primarily Assyrians/Syriacs and Greeks.
