Abstract

National Pro-Life March (NPŽ) is an annual manifestation of the Czech Republic Pro-Life Movement advocating in the situation of unexpected pregnancy other solutions than induced abortion. The paper summarizes bioethical arguments against induced abortion (Černý et al. 2011) and other arguments used by the Czech Republic Pro-Life Movement and characterizes its activities as well as the aims of NPŽ.

Then it focuses on the NPŽ's response in written internet media, namely a) news on news servers, and b) negative commentaries. It provides a critical analysis of the ways of argumentation in these commentaries and it shows that they use various delegitimization strategies based on incorrect contextualizations.
