Drug-induced photosensitivity

Abstract

Data suggest that more than 300 drugs are reported to be photosensitizers. However, the effect of only a few drugs have been well described.

It seems that many photosensitive reactions are underdiagnosed due to the difficulty to prove the relationship between the drug and sun exposure. It is important to clarify this relationship to timely treat patients or better to take adequate measures to prevent adverse effects.
