Abstract
The paper deals with the issue of further professional education of professional soldiers in the Army of the Czech Republic. It delivers selected data from the research, which was focused on monitoring and examination aspirations, motivations and barriers of soldiers in the context of professional preparation (training).
The aim of the presented research was to identify the key reasons for the participation of soldiers in further professional preparation, particularly in career courses, language education, vocational training and within self-study.
