3D Printing - Learning and Mastering

Publication at Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové |
2017

Abstract

The use of the latest 3D technologies is increasingly gaining ground in biomedicine and clinical practice. The experimental biophysical laboratory of 3D printing was created for a better understanding of the practical impact of these innovations by students in dentistry and general medicine with the support of E-learning.

The aim of the Lab is to provide students with the theoretical basis and practical skills, especially in the development of dental crowns and implants. The laboratory has been innovated thanks to closer cooperation with the Stomatology clinic at the University Hospital in Hradec Kralove.

This allows students to solve real-life situations from practice using the latest treatment approaches. Innovated Lab expands the elective subject - Medical Biophysics Seminar.

The impact of enhancement of the seminar by the topic of 3D printing has been analysed.
