Abstract

Prolactin is a signifiant hormone that shared male appetence, affects testosterone and its use in target tissues. Prolactin also has a significant impact on 5-alpha reductase in the context of development of testosterone-dependent diseases.

Increased prolactin level (hyperprolactinaemia) in men significantly affects their sexuality, in many case also their fertility. This is a very common phenomenon in the life of men, often occurs asymptomatically and usually comes through random testing.
