The managerial function of human resource management (also known as people management) should be an integral part of the work of all teaching professionals with managerial responsibilities. Its fundamental objective, also within a regional school system, is to provide for the organisation a sufficient number of capable and motivated employees, to create for them appropriate working conditions and development opportunities, thus ensuring the attainment of objectives at the level of individuals, teams and the managed educational organisation.
The tasks to be fulfilled by managers of educational organisations in the field of human resource management (HRM) are connected primarily with the HRM strategy and policy of the educational organisation in question, with individual HRM processes and the necessary personnel administration. All this is taking place in real conditions of an external and internal environment of the school or school facility and in competition with other organisations of the regional school system and not only with them.
